Romans 13:11-14

11Besides this you know the time, that the hour has come for you ato wake from sleep. bFor salvation is nearer to us now than when we first believed. 12 cThe night is far gone; the day is at hand. So then let us dcast off ethe works of darkness and fput on the armor of light. 13 gLet us walk properly as in the daytime, hnot in orgies and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and sensuality, inot in quarreling and jealousy. 14But jput on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, kto gratify its desires.

It is through this craving that some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many pangs.

2 Timothy 2:4
