Romans 13:5

5Therefore one must be in subjection, not only to avoid God’s wrath but also afor the sake of conscience.

1 Corinthians 12:12-27

One Body with Many Members

12For just as bthe body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, cso it is with Christ. 13For din one Spirit we were all baptized into one bodyeJews or Greeks, slaves
Or servants; Greek bondservants
or freeand gall were made to drink of one Spirit.

14For the body does not consist of one member but of many. 15If the foot should say, “Because I am not a hand, I do not belong to the body,” that would not make it any less a part of the body. 16And if the ear should say, “Because I am not an eye, I do not belong to the body,” that would not make it any less a part of the body. 17If the whole body were an eye, where would be the sense of hearing? If the whole body were an ear, where would be the sense of smell? 18But as it is, hGod arranged the members in the body, each one of them, ias he chose. 19If all were a single member, where would the body be? 20As it is, there are many parts,
Or members; also verse 22
yet one body.

21The eye cannot say to the hand, “I have no need of you,” nor again the head to the feet, “I have no need of you.” 22On the contrary, the parts of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable, 23and on those parts of the body that we think less honorable we bestow the greater honor, and our unpresentable parts are treated with greater modesty, 24which our more presentable parts do not require. But God has so composed the body, giving greater honor to the part that lacked it, 25that there may be no division in the body, but that the members may have the same care for one another. 26If one member suffers, all suffer together; if one member is honored, kall rejoice together.

27Now lyou are the body of Christ and individually mmembers of it.

Ephesians 2:16

Ephesians 4:4

4There is oone body and pone Spirit—just as you were called to the one qhope that belongs to your call

Ephesians 4:12

Ephesians 5:23-32

23For uthe husband is the head of the wife even as vChrist is the head of the church, his body, and is whimself its Savior. 24Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit xin everything to their husbands.

25 yHusbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and zgave himself up for her, 26that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by aathe washing of water abwith the word, 27so acthat he might present the church to himself in splendor, adwithout spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish.
Or holy and blameless
28In the same way afhusbands should love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. 29For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ does the church, 30because agwe are members of his body. 31 ahTherefore a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, and aithe two shall become one flesh.” 32This mystery is profound, and I am saying that it refers to Christ and the church.

Colossians 1:18

18And ajhe is the head of the body, the church. He is akthe beginning, althe firstborn from the dead, that in everything he might be preeminent.

Colossians 1:24

Paul’s Ministry to the Church
