Romans 13:8-10

Fulfilling the Law Through Love

8 aOwe no one anything, except to love each other, for bthe one who loves another has fulfilled the law. 9For the commandments, c“You shall not commit adultery, You shall not murder, You shall not steal, You shall not covet,” and any other commandment, are summed up in this word: d“You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” 10Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore elove is the fulfilling of the law.

Galatians 5:13-14

13For you were called to freedom, brothers. fOnly do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love gserve one another. 14For hthe whole law is fulfilled in one word: i“You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”

1 Timothy 1:5

5The aim of our charge is love jthat issues from a pure heart and ka good conscience and la sincere faith.

James 2:10-13

10For whoever keeps the whole law but fails in one point mhas become guilty of all of it. 11For he who said, n“Do not commit adultery,” also said, o“Do not murder.” If you do not commit adultery but do murder, you have become a transgressor of the law. 12So speak and so act as those who are to be judged under pthe law of liberty. 13For qjudgment is without mercy to one who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment.
