Romans 14:15

15For if your brother is grieved by what you eat, ayou are no longer walking in love. bBy what you eat, do not destroy the one for whom Christ died.

1 Corinthians 8:11-12

11And so by your knowledge this weak person is cdestroyed, the brother for whom Christ died. 12Thus, sinning against your brothers
Or  brothers and sisters
and ewounding their conscience when it is weak, fyou sin against Christ.

Galatians 2:4-5

4 gYet because of false brothers secretly brought inwho hslipped in to spy out iour freedom that we have in Christ Jesus, jso that they might bring us into slavery 5to them we did not yield in submission even for a moment, so that kthe truth of the gospel might be preserved for you.

Galatians 2:12-16

12For before certain men came from James, lhe was eating with the Gentiles; but when they came he drew back and separated himself, fearing mthe circumcision party.
Or  fearing those of the circumcision
13And the rest of the Jews acted hypocritically along with him, so that even Barnabas was led astray by their hypocrisy. 14But when I saw that their oconduct was not in step with pthe truth of the gospel, I said to Cephas qbefore them all, “If you, though a Jew, rlive like a Gentile and not like a Jew, how can you force the Gentiles to live like Jews?”

Justified by Faith

15We ourselves are Jews by birth and not sGentile sinners; 16yet we know that ta person is not justified
Or counted righteous (three times in verse 16); also verse 17
by works of the law vbut through faith in Jesus Christ, so we also have believed in Christ Jesus, in order to be justified by faith in Christ and not by works of the law, wbecause by works of the law no one will be justified.

Galatians 2:21

21I do not nullify the grace of God, for xif righteousness
Or justification
were through the law, zthen Christ died for no purpose.

Galatians 4:9-12

9But now that you have come to know God, or rather aato be known by God, abhow can you turn back again to acthe weak and worthless elementary principles of the world, whose slaves you want to be once more? 10 adYou observe days and months and seasons and years! 11I am afraid aeI may have labored over you in vain.

12Brothers,
Or  Brothers and sisters; also verses 28, 31
agI entreat you, become as I am, for I also have become as you are. ahYou did me no wrong.

Galatians 5:11

11But if I, brothers,
Or  brothers and sisters; also verse 13
still preach
Greek proclaim
circumcision, akwhy am I still being persecuted? In that case althe offense of the cross has been removed.
