Romans 15:1-3

The Example of Christ

1 aWe who are strong bhave an obligation to bear with the failings of the weak, and not to please ourselves. 2 cLet each of us please his neighbor for his good, to build him up. 3For dChrist did not please himself, but as it is written, e“The reproaches of those who reproached you fell on me.”

1 Corinthians 8:9-13

9But take care fthat this right of yours does not somehow become a stumbling block gto the weak. 10For if anyone sees you who have knowledge eating
Greek reclining at table
in an idol’s temple, will he not be encouraged,
Or fortified; Greek built up
if his conscience is weak, to eat food offered to idols?
11And so by your knowledge this weak person is jdestroyed, the brother for whom Christ died. 12Thus, sinning against your brothers
Or  brothers and sisters
and lwounding their conscience when it is weak, myou sin against Christ.
13Therefore, nif food makes my brother stumble, I will never eat meat, lest I make my brother stumble.

1 Corinthians 10:32-33

32 oGive no offense to Jews or to Greeks or to pthe church of God, 33just as qI try to please everyone in everything I do, rnot seeking my own advantage, but that of many, that they may be saved.

2 Thessalonians 1:6-9
