Romans 15:17-20

17In Christ Jesus, then, I have areason to be proud of bmy work for God. 18For I will not venture to speak of anything except cwhat Christ has accomplished through me dto bring the Gentiles to obedience—by word and deed, 19 eby the power of signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God—so that ffrom Jerusalem and all the way around gto Illyricum I have fulfilled the ministry of the gospel of Christ; 20and thus I make it my ambition to preach the gospel, not where Christ has already been named, hlest I build on someone else’s foundation,

2 Corinthians 10:12-16

12Not that we dare to classify or icompare ourselves with some of those who jare commending themselves. But when they measure themselves by one another and compare themselves with one another, they are kwithout understanding.

13But we will not boast lbeyond limits, but will mboast only with regard to the area of influence God assigned to us, nto reach even to you. 14For we are not overextending ourselves, as though we did not reach you. oFor we were the first to come all the way to you with the gospel of Christ. 15We do not boast beyond limit in the labors of others. But our hope is that pas your faith increases, our area of influence among you may be qgreatly enlarged, 16so that we may preach the gospel in lands beyond you, without boasting of work already done in another’s area of influence.

2 Corinthians 11:23-30

23Are they rservants of Christ? sI am a better one—I am talking like a madmanwith far greater labors, tfar more imprisonments, uwith countless beatings, and voften near death. 24Five times I received at the hands of the Jews the wforty lashes less one. 25Three times I was xbeaten with rods. yOnce I was stoned. Three times I zwas shipwrecked; a night and a day I was adrift at sea; 26on frequent journeys, in danger from rivers, danger from robbers, aadanger from my own people, abdanger from Gentiles, acdanger in the city, danger in the wilderness, danger at sea, danger from false brothers; 27 adin toil and hardship, through many a sleepless night, aein hunger and thirst, often without food,
Or  often in fasting
in cold and exposure.
28And, apart from other things, there is the daily pressure on me of my anxiety for agall the churches. 29 ahWho is weak, and I am not weak? Who is made to fall, and I am not indignant?

30 aiIf I must boast, I will boast of the things that show my weakness.

2 Corinthians 12:11

Concern for the Corinthian Church

11 ajI have been a fool! You forced me to it, for I ought to have been commended by you. For I was aknot at all inferior to these super-apostles, aleven though I am nothing.
