Romans 15:4

4For awhatever was written in former days was written for our binstruction, that through endurance and through cthe encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.

1 Corinthians 9:10

2 Timothy 3:16-17

That is, a messenger of God (the phrase echoes a common Old Testament expression)
may be complete, lequipped mfor every good work.
