Christ the Hope of Jews and Gentiles

8 For I tell you that Christ ^fbecame a servant to the circumcised to show God’s truthfulness, in order ^gto confirm the promises given to the patriarchs, 9 and in order ^hthat the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy. As it is written,

ⁱ“Therefore I will praise you among the Gentiles,
and sing to your name.”
10 And again it is said,

^j“Rejoice, O Gentiles, with his people.”
11 And again,

^k“Praise the Lord, all you Gentiles,
and let all the peoples extol him.”
12 And again Isaiah says,

^l, ^m“The root of Jesse will come,
even he who arises to rule the Gentiles;
ⁿin him will the Gentiles hope.”
13 May the God of hope fill you with all ^ojoy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.

1 Corinthians 13:13

13 So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.

1 Thessalonians 5:8

8 But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, ^phaving put on the breastplate of ^qfaith and love, and for a helmet the hope of salvation.

Hebrews 3:6

Born Again to a Living Hope

1 Peter 3:15
