Romans 16:18

18For such persons do not serve our Lord Christ, but atheir own appetites,
Greek  their own belly
and cby smooth talk and flattery they deceive the hearts of the naive.

1 Thessalonians 2:3-6

3For dour appeal does not spring from eerror or fimpurity or gany attempt to deceive, 4but just as we have been approved by God hto be entrusted with the gospel, so we speak, not ito please man, but to please God jwho tests our hearts. 5 kFor we never came with words of flattery,
Or  with a flattering speech
as you know, nor with a pretext for greedmGod is witness.
6 nNor did we seek glory from people, whether from you or from others, othough we could have made pdemands as qapostles of Christ.

1 Thessalonians 2:10

10You are witnesses, and rGod also, show holy and righteous and blameless was our conduct toward you believers.

2 Thessalonians 3:7-9

7For you yourselves know thow you ought to imitate us, because uwe were not idle when we were with you, 8nor did we eat anyone’s bread without paying for it, but vwith toil and labor we worked night and day, that we might not be a burden to any of you. 9It was wnot because we do not have that right, but to give you in ourselves xan example to imitate.
