5 But because of your hard and impenitent heart you are ^astoring up ^bwrath for yourself on the day of wrath when God’s righteous judgment will be revealed.

Romans 3:5

5 But if our unrighteousness serves to show the righteousness of God, what shall we say? That God is unrighteous to inflict ^cwrath on us? ( ^dI speak in a human way.)

Romans 13:4-5

4 for ^ehe is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword in vain. For he is the servant of God, ^fan avenger who carries out God’s wrath on the wrongdoer. 5 Therefore one must be in subjection, not only to avoid God’s wrath but also ^gfor the sake of conscience.
