Romans 3:19-20

19Now we know that whatever athe law says it speaks to those who are under the law, bso that every mouth may be stopped, and cthe whole world may be held accountable to God. 20For dby works of the law no human being

Romans 4:15

15For gthe law brings wrath, but hwhere there is no law ithere is no transgression.

Romans 5:20-21

20Now jthe law came in to increase the trespass, but where sin increased, kgrace abounded all the more, 21so that, las sin reigned in death, mgrace also might reign through righteousness leading to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Romans 7:7-13

The Law and Sin

7What then shall we say? That the law is sin? By no means! Yet if it had not been for the law, nI would not have known sin. For I would not have known what it is to covet if othe law had not said, “You shall not covet.” 8But sin, pseizing an opportunity through the commandment, produced in me all kinds of covetousness. qFor apart from the law, sin lies dead. 9I was once alive apart from the law, but when the commandment came, sin came alive and I died. 10The very commandment rthat promised life proved to be death to me. 11For sin, sseizing an opportunity through the commandment, tdeceived me and through it killed me. 12So uthe law is holy, and the commandment is holy and righteous and good.

13Did that which is good, then, bring death to me? By no means! It was sin, producing death in me through what is good, in order that sin might be shown to be sin, and through the commandment might become sinful beyond measure.

1 Timothy 1:8-9
