Romans 3:20

20For aby works of the law no human being
Greek flesh
will be justified in his sight, since cthrough the law comes knowledge of sin.

Romans 7:7-11

The Law and Sin

7What then shall we say? That the law is sin? By no means! Yet if it had not been for the law, dI would not have known sin. For I would not have known what it is to covet if ethe law had not said, “You shall not covet.” 8But sin, fseizing an opportunity through the commandment, produced in me all kinds of covetousness. gFor apart from the law, sin lies dead. 9I was once alive apart from the law, but when the commandment came, sin came alive and I died. 10The very commandment hthat promised life proved to be death to me. 11For sin, iseizing an opportunity through the commandment, jdeceived me and through it killed me.

Galatians 2:19

19For through the law I kdied to the law, so that I might llive to God.

Galatians 3:10-13

The Righteous Shall Live by Faith

10For all who rely on works of the law are munder a curse; for it is written, nCursed be everyone who does not oabide by all things written in the Book of the Law, and do them.” 11Now it is evident that pno one is justified before God by the law, for q“The righteous shall live by faith.”
Or The one who by faith is righteous will live
12But the law is not of faith, rather s“The one who does them shall live by them.” 13Christ tredeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for usfor it is written, uCursed is everyone who is hanged von a tree”—
