Romans 3:9-20

No One Is Righteous

9What then? Are we Jews
Greek  Are we
any better off?
Or at any disadvantage?
No, not at all. For we have already charged that all, both cJews and dGreeks, are eunder sin,
10as it is written:

f“None is righteous, no, not one;
11no one understands;
no one seeks for God.
12All have turned aside; together they have become worthless;
no one does good,
not even one.”
13 gTheir throat is han open grave;
they use their tongues to deceive.”
i“The venom of asps is under their lips.”
14 jTheir mouth is full of curses and bitterness.”
15 kTheir feet are swift to shed blood;
16in their paths are ruin and misery,
17and lthe way of peace they have not known.”
18 m“There is no fear of God before their eyes.”
19Now we know that whatever nthe law says it speaks to those who are under the law, oso that every mouth may be stopped, and pthe whole world may be held accountable to God. 20For qby works of the law no human being
Greek flesh
will be justified in his sight, since sthrough the law comes knowledge of sin.

1 Corinthians 6:9-11

9Or do you not know that the unrighteous
Or wrongdoers
will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: uneither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality,
The two Greek terms translated by this phrase refer to the passive and active partners in consensual homosexual acts
10nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. 11And wsuch were some of you. But xyou were washed, yyou were sanctified, zyou were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

Ephesians 2:1-3

By Grace Through Faith

1 aaAnd you were abdead in the trespasses and sins 2 acin which you once walked, following the course of this world, following adthe prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in aethe sons of disobedience 3among whom we all once lived in afthe passions of our flesh, carrying out the desires of the body
Greek flesh
and the mind, and ahwere by nature aichildren of wrath, like the rest of mankind.
Greek  like the rest

Colossians 1:21

21 akAnd you, who once were alienated and hostile in mind, aldoing evil deeds,

Colossians 3:7

7 amIn these you too once walked, when you were living in them.

1 Peter 4:1-3

Stewards of God’s Grace

1Since therefore anChrist suffered in the flesh,
Some manuscripts add for us; some for you
aparm yourselves with the same way of thinking, for aqwhoever has suffered in the flesh arhas ceased from sin,
2 asso as to live for atthe rest of the time in the flesh auno longer for human passions but avfor the will of God. 3For the time that is past awsuffices axfor doing what the Gentiles want to do, living in sensuality, passions, drunkenness, orgies, drinking parties, and lawless idolatry.
