Romans 4:1

Abraham Justified by Faith

1 What then shall we say was gained by ^{▼▼Some manuscripts say about} Abraham, ^bour forefather according to the flesh?

Romans 4:12

12 and to make him the father of the circumcised who are not merely circumcised but who also walk in the footsteps of the faith that our father Abraham had before he was circumcised.

Romans 9:3-8

3 For ^cI could wish that I myself were ^daccursed and cut off from Christ for the sake of my brothers, ^{▼▼Or brothers and sisters} my kinsmen ^faccording to the flesh. 4 They are ^gIsraelites, and to them belong ^hthe adoption, ⁱthe glory, ^jthe covenants, ^kthe giving of the law, ^lthe worship, and ^mthe promises. 5 To them belong ⁿthe patriarchs, and from their race, according to the flesh, is the Christ, ^owho is God over all, ^pblessed forever. Amen.

6 But it is not as though the word of God has failed. For not all who are descended from Israel belong to Israel, 7 and not all are children of Abraham ^qbecause they are his offspring, but ^r“Through Isaac shall your offspring be named.” 8 This means that it is not the children of the flesh who are the children of God, but ^sthe children of the promise are counted as offspring.

2 Corinthians 11:18-22

18 Since ^tmany boast according to the flesh, I too will boast. 19 For you gladly bear with fools, ^ubeing wise yourselves! 20 For you bear it if someone ^vmakes slaves of you, or ^wdevours you, or takes advantage of you, or puts on airs, or ^xstrikes you in the face. 21 To my shame, I must say, ^ywe were too weak for that!

But whatever anyone else dares to boast of—I am speaking as a fool—I also dare to boast of that. 22 Are they Hebrews? ^zSo am I. Are they Israelites? So am I. Are they offspring of Abraham? So am I.

Galatians 6:16

16 And as for all who walk by this rule, ^aapeace and mercy be upon them, and upon ^abthe Israel of God.

Ephesians 2:11-12

One in Christ

11 Therefore remember that at one time you Gentiles in the flesh, called “the uncircumcision” by what is called ^acthe circumcision, which is made in the flesh by hands— 12 remember ^adthat you were at that time separated from Christ, ^aealienated from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers to ^afthe covenants of promise, ^aghaving no hope and without God in the world.
