18 In hope he believed against hope, that he should become the father of many nations, as he had been told, ^a“So shall your offspring be.”

4 Otherwise, if some Macedonians ^bcome with me and find that you are not ready, we would be humiliated—to say nothing of you—for being so confident.

17 What I am saying ^cwith this boastful confidence, ^dI say not as the Lord would ^{▼▼Greek not according to the Lord} but as a fool.

14 For we have come to share in Christ, ^fif indeed we hold our original confidence firm to the end.
