Romans 4:3-6

3For what does the Scripture say? aAbraham believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness.” 4Now bto the one who works, his wages are not counted as a gift but as his due. 5And to the one who does not work but cbelieves in
Or  but trusts; compare verse 24
him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is counted as righteousness,
6just as David also speaks of the blessing of the one to whom God counts righteousness apart from works:

Romans 4:9

9Is this blessing then only for ethe circumcised, or also for the uncircumcised? fFor we say that faith was counted to Abraham as righteousness.

Romans 4:20-25

20No unbelief made him waver concerning the promise of God, but he grew strong in his faith as he gave glory to God, 21fully convinced that gGod was able to do what he had promised. 22That is why his faith was “counted to him as righteousness.” 23But hthe words “it was counted to him” were not written for his sake alone, 24but for ours also. It will be counted to us iwho believe in jhim who raised from the dead Jesus our Lord, 25 kwho was delivered up for our trespasses and raised lfor our justification.

Galatians 3:6-14

6just as mAbrahambelieved God, and it was counted to him as righteousness”?

7Know then that it is nthose of faith who are othe sons of Abraham. 8And the Scripture, foreseeing that pGod would justify
Or count righteous; also verses 11, 24
the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel beforehand to Abraham, saying, rIn you shall all the nations be blessed.”
9So then, those who are of faith are blessed along with Abraham, the man of faith.

The Righteous Shall Live by Faith

10For all who rely on works of the law are sunder a curse; for it is written, tCursed be everyone who does not uabide by all things written in the Book of the Law, and do them.” 11Now it is evident that vno one is justified before God by the law, for w“The righteous shall live by faith.”
Or The one who by faith is righteous will live
12But the law is not of faith, rather y“The one who does them shall live by them.” 13Christ zredeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for usfor it is written, aaCursed is everyone who is hanged abon a tree”— 14so that in Christ Jesus the blessing of Abraham might accome to the Gentiles, so that adwe might receive aethe promised Spirit
Greek  receive the promise of the Spirit
through faith.

Hebrews 11:8

8By faith agAbraham obeyed when he was called to go out to a place ahthat he was to receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going.

James 2:23

23and the Scripture was fulfilled that says, aiAbraham believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness”—and he was called a ajfriend of God.
