Romans 5:20-21

20Now athe law came in to increase the trespass, but where sin increased, bgrace abounded all the more, 21so that, cas sin reigned in death, dgrace also might reign through righteousness leading to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Romans 6:1-11

Dead to Sin, Alive to God

1What shall we say then? eAre we to continue in sin that grace may abound? 2By no means! How can fwe who died to sin still live in it? 3Do you not know that all of us gwho have been baptized hinto Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? 4We were iburied therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as jChrist was raised from the dead by kthe glory of the Father, we too might walk in lnewness of life.

5For mif we have been united with him in na death like his, we shall certainly be united with him in a resurrection like his. 6We know that oour old self
Greek man
qwas crucified with him in order that rthe body of sin might be brought to nothing, so that we would no longer be enslaved to sin.
7For sone who has died thas been set free
Greek  has been justified
from sin.
8Now vif we have died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him. 9We know that wChrist, being raised from the dead, will never die again; xdeath no longer has dominion over him. 10For the death he died he died to sin, yonce for all, but the life he lives he lives to God. 11So you also must consider yourselves zdead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus.

2 Corinthians 1:20

20For aaall the promises of God find their Yes in him. That is why it is through him that we utter our abAmen to God for his glory.

2 Corinthians 6:17-18

17Therefore acgo out from their midst,
and be separate from them, says the Lord,
and touch no unclean thing;
then I will welcome you,
18 adand I will be a father to you,
and you shall be sons and daughters to me,
says the Lord Almighty.”

Hebrews 4:1

1Therefore, while the promise of entering his rest still stands, let us fear lest any of you should seem aeto have failed to reach it.

2 Peter 1:4-8

4by which he has granted to us his precious and very great promises, so that through them you may become afpartakers of the divine nature, aghaving escaped from the corruption that is in the world because of sinful desire. 5For this very reason, make every effort to supplement your faith ahwith virtue,
Or excellence; twice in this verse
and virtue ajwith knowledge,
6and knowledge with self-control, and self-control akwith steadfastness, and steadfastness with godliness, 7and godliness alwith brotherly affection, and brotherly affection amwith love. 8For if these qualities
Greek  these things; also verses 9, 10, 12
are yours and are increasing, they keep you from being ineffective or aounfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
