Romans 6:2-11

2By no means! How can awe who died to sin still live in it? 3Do you not know that all of us bwho have been baptized cinto Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? 4We were dburied therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as eChrist was raised from the dead by fthe glory of the Father, we too might walk in gnewness of life.

5For hif we have been united with him in ia death like his, we shall certainly be united with him in a resurrection like his. 6We know that jour old self
Greek man
lwas crucified with him in order that mthe body of sin might be brought to nothing, so that we would no longer be enslaved to sin.
7For none who has died ohas been set free
Greek  has been justified
from sin.
8Now qif we have died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him. 9We know that rChrist, being raised from the dead, will never die again; sdeath no longer has dominion over him. 10For the death he died he died to sin, tonce for all, but the life he lives he lives to God. 11So you also must consider yourselves udead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus.

Romans 7:4-6

4Likewise, my brothers, vyou also have died wto the law xthrough the body of Christ, so that you may belong to another, to him who has been raised from the dead, yin order that we may bear fruit for God. 5For while we were living in the flesh, our sinful passions, aroused by the law, were at work zin our members aato bear fruit for death. 6But now we are released from the law, having died to that which held us captive, so that we serve in the abnew way of acthe Spirit and not in the old way of the written code.

19For through the law I aedied to the law, so that I might aflive to God. 20I have been agcrucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives ahin me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, aiwho loved me and ajgave himself for me.

Galatians 6:14

14But far be it from me to boast akexcept in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by which
Or through whom
the world amhas been crucified to me, and I to the world.

Colossians 3:3

3For anyou have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.

1 Peter 4:1-3

Stewards of God’s Grace

1Since therefore aoChrist suffered in the flesh,
Some manuscripts add for us; some for you
aqarm yourselves with the same way of thinking, for arwhoever has suffered in the flesh ashas ceased from sin,
2 atso as to live for authe rest of the time in the flesh avno longer for human passions but awfor the will of God. 3For the time that is past axsuffices ayfor doing what the Gentiles want to do, living in sensuality, passions, drunkenness, orgies, drinking parties, and lawless idolatry.
