Romans 6:20-22

20 ^aFor when you were slaves of sin, you were free in regard to righteousness. 21 ^bBut what fruit were you getting at that time from the things ^cof which you are now ashamed? ^dFor the end of those things is death. 22 But now that you ^ehave been set free from sin and ^fhave become slaves of God, ^gthe fruit you get leads to sanctification and ^hits end, eternal life.
