Romans 7:7-8

The Law and Sin

7What then shall we say? That the law is sin? By no means! Yet if it had not been for the law, aI would not have known sin. For I would not have known what it is to covet if bthe law had not said, “You shall not covet.” 8But sin, cseizing an opportunity through the commandment, produced in me all kinds of covetousness. dFor apart from the law, sin lies dead.

Ephesians 5:3

3But esexual immorality and all impurity or covetousness fmust not even be named among you, as is proper among saints.

Colossians 3:5

5 gPut to death therefore hwhat is earthly in you:
Greek  therefore your members that are on the earth
jsexual immorality, impurity, kpassion, evil desire, and covetousness, lwhich is idolatry.

1 Timothy 6:9-10

9But mthose who desire to be rich fall into temptation, ninto a snare, into many senseless and harmful desires that oplunge people into ruin and destruction. 10For the love of money is a root of pall kinds of evils. It is through this craving that some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many pangs.

Hebrews 13:5
