Romans 8:1

Life in the Spirit

1There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.
Some manuscripts add who walk not according to the flesh (but according to the Spirit)

Romans 8:4-9

4in order that bthe righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us, cwho walk not according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. 5For dthose who live according to the flesh set their minds on ethe things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on fthe things of the Spirit. 6For to set gthe mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace. 7For the mind that is set on the flesh is hhostile to God, for it does not submit to God’s law; iindeed, it cannot. 8Those who are in the flesh cannot please God.

9You, however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if in fact jthe Spirit of God dwells in you. kAnyone who does not have lthe Spirit of Christ does not belong to him.

Romans 8:13

13For if you live according to the flesh you will die, but if by the Spirit you mput to death the deeds of the body, you will live.

1 Corinthians 15:47-49

47 nThe first man was from the earth, oa man of dust; pthe second man is from heaven. 48As was the man of dust, so also are those who are of the dust, and as is the man of heaven, qso also are those who are of heaven. 49Just ras we have borne the image of the man of dust, swe shall

Galatians 5:16-21

Keep in Step with the Spirit

16But I say, ywalk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify zthe desires of the flesh. 17For aathe desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against the flesh, for these are opposed to each other, abto keep you from doing the things you want to do. 18But if you are acled by the Spirit, adyou are not under the law. 19Now aethe works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, 20idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, afdivisions, 21envy,
Some manuscripts add murder
drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that ahthose who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

Galatians 5:24

24And those who belong to Christ Jesus aihave crucified the flesh with its ajpassions and desires.
