Romans 8:1

Life in the Spirit

1There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.
Some manuscripts add who walk not according to the flesh (but according to the Spirit)

Romans 8:5

5For bthose who live according to the flesh set their minds on cthe things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on dthe things of the Spirit.

2 Corinthians 11:9-13

9And when I was with you and was ein need, fI did not burden anyone, for the brothers who came from Macedonia gsupplied my need. So I refrained and will refrain hfrom burdening you in any way. 10 iAs the truth of Christ is in me, this boasting of mine jwill not be silenced in the regions of Achaia. 11And why? kBecause I do not love you? lGod knows I do!

12And what I am doing I will continue to do, min order to undermine the claim of those who would like to claim that in their boasted mission they work on the same terms as we do. 13For such men are nfalse apostles, odeceitful workmen, pdisguising themselves as apostles of Christ.

2 Corinthians 12:13-19

13For in what were you less favored than the rest of the churches, except that qI myself did not burden you? Forgive me this wrong!

14Here rfor the third time I am ready to come to you. And I will not be a burden, for sI seek not what is yours but you. For tchildren are not obligated to save up for their parents, but uparents for their children. 15 vI will most gladly spend and be spent for your souls. If wI love you more, am I to be loved less? 16But granting that xI myself did not burden you, I was crafty, you say, and got the better of you by deceit. 17Did I take advantage of you ythrough any of those whom I sent to you? 18 zI urged Titus to go, and sent aathe brother with him. Did Titus take advantage of you? Did we not act in the same spirit? Did we not take the same steps?

19Have you been thinking all along that we have been defending ourselves to you? It is abin the sight of God that we have been speaking in Christ, and acall for your upbuilding, beloved.

Galatians 5:16-25

Keep in Step with the Spirit

16But I say, adwalk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify aethe desires of the flesh. 17For afthe desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against the flesh, for these are opposed to each other, agto keep you from doing the things you want to do. 18But if you are ahled by the Spirit, aiyou are not under the law. 19Now ajthe works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, 20idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, akdivisions, 21envy,
Some manuscripts add murder
drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that amthose who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
22But anthe fruit of the Spirit is aolove, joy, peace, patience, apkindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 aqgentleness, arself-control; asagainst such things there is no law. 24And those who belong to Christ Jesus athave crucified the flesh with its aupassions and desires.

25If we live by the Spirit, avlet us also keep in step with the Spirit.

Ephesians 2:2-3

2 awin which you once walked, following the course of this world, following axthe prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in aythe sons of disobedience 3among whom we all once lived in azthe passions of our flesh, carrying out the desires of the body
