Romans 8:7-8

7 For the mind that is set on the flesh is ^ahostile to God, for it does not submit to God’s law; ^bindeed, it cannot. 8 Those who are in the flesh cannot please God.

2 Corinthians 7:1

1 Since we have these promises, beloved, ^clet us cleanse ourselves from every defilement of body ^{▼▼Greek flesh} and spirit, bringing holiness to completion in the fear of God.

Galatians 5:19-21

19 Now ^ethe works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, 20 idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, ^fdivisions, 21 envy, ^{▼▼Some manuscripts add murder} drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that ^hthose who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
