Romans 9:16-18

16So then it depends not on human will or exertion,
Greek  not of him who wills or runs
but on God, who has mercy.
17For the Scripture says to Pharaoh, bFor this very purpose I have raised you up, that I might show my power in you, and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth.” 18So then he has mercy on whomever he wills, and he hardens whomever he wills.

1 Corinthians 12:4-11

4Now cthere are varieties of gifts, but dthe same Spirit; 5and ethere are varieties of service, but fthe same Lord; 6and there are varieties of activities, but it is gthe same God who empowers them all in everyone. 7 hTo each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. 8For to one is given through the Spirit the utterance of iwisdom, and to another the utterance of jknowledge according to the same Spirit, 9to another kfaith by the same Spirit, to another lgifts of healing by the one Spirit, 10to another mthe working of miracles, to another nprophecy, to another othe ability to distinguish between spirits, to another pvarious kinds of tongues, to another qthe interpretation of tongues. 11All these are empowered by one and the same Spirit, rwho apportions to each one individually sas he wills.

1 Corinthians 15:10

10But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace toward me was not in vain. On the contrary, tI worked harder than any of them, uthough it was not I, but the grace of God that is with me.

Ephesians 3:3-5

3 vhow the mystery was made known to me wby revelation, xas I have written briefly. 4 yWhen you read this, you can perceive my insight into zthe mystery of Christ, 5which was not made known to the sons of men in other generations as it has now been revealed to his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit.

2 Thessalonians 2:12-14

Christ Jesus Came to Save Sinners

12I thank him akwho has given me strength, Christ Jesus our Lord, because he judged me faithful, alappointing me to his service, 13though formerly I was a blasphemer, ampersecutor, and insolent opponent. But anI received mercy aobecause I had acted ignorantly in unbelief, 14and apthe grace of our Lord overflowed for me with the aqfaith and love that are in Christ Jesus. 15The saying is artrustworthy and deserving of full acceptance, that Christ Jesus ascame into the world to save sinners, atof whom I am the foremost.
