13So Boaz took Ruth, and she became his wife. And he went in to her, jand the Lord gave her conception, and she bore a son. 14 kThen the women said to Naomi, “Blessed be the Lord, who has not left you this day without la redeemer, and may his name mbe renowned in Israel! 15He shall be to you a restorer of life and a nourisher of your old age, for your daughter-in-law who loves you, nwho is more to you than seven sons, has given birth to him.” 16Then Naomi took the child and laid him on her lap and became his nurse. 17 oAnd the women of the neighborhood gave him a name, saying, “A son has been born to Naomi.” They named him Obed. Nehemiah’s Final Reforms
1On that day vthey read from the Book of Moses in the hearing of the people. And in it was found written wthat no Ammonite or Moabite should ever enter the assembly of God, 2for they did not meet the people of Israel with bread and water, but hired Balaam against them to curse them—yet our God turned the curse into a blessing.Nehemiah 13:23
