Song of Solomon 3:6-11

Solomon Arrives for the Wedding

6 aWhat is that coming up from the wilderness
like bcolumns of smoke,
perfumed with cmyrrh and frankincense,
with all the fragrant powders of a merchant?
7Behold, it is the litter
That is,  the couch on which servants carry a king
of Solomon!
Around it are esixty fmighty men,
some of the mighty men of Israel,
8all of them wearing swords
and expert in war,
each with his gsword at his thigh,
against hterror by night.
9King Solomon made himself a carriage
Or sedan chair

from the wood of Lebanon.
10He made its posts of silver,
its back of gold, its seat of purple;
its interior was inlaid with love
by jthe daughters of Jerusalem.
11Go out, O kdaughters of Zion,
and look upon King Solomon,
with the crown with which his mother crowned him
on lthe day of his wedding,
on the day of the gladness of his heart.

Song of Solomon 4

Solomon Admires His Bride’s Beauty

He

1 Behold, myou are beautiful, my love,
behold, you are beautiful!
nYour eyes are doves
obehind your veil.
pYour hair is like a flock of goats
leaping down qthe slopes of Gilead.
2Your rteeth are like a flock of shorn ewes
that have come up from the washing,
all of which bear twins,
and not one among them has lost its young.
3Your lips are like sa scarlet thread,
and your mouth is tlovely.
Your ucheeks are like halves of a pomegranate
vbehind your veil.
4Your wneck is like the tower of David,
built in xrows of stone;
The meaning of the Hebrew word is uncertain

on it zhang a thousand shields,
all of aathem shields of warriors.
5Your abtwo breasts are like two acfawns,
twins of a gazelle,
that adgraze among the lilies.
6 aeUntil the day breathes
and the shadows flee,
I will go away to the mountain of afmyrrh
and the hill of agfrankincense.
7 ahYou are altogether beautiful, my love;
there is no aiflaw in you.
8 ajCome with me from akLebanon, my albride;

Depart
Or Look
from the peak of Amana,
from the peak of aoSenir and apHermon,
from the dens of lions,
from the mountains of leopards.
9 You have captivated my heart, my aqsister, my bride;
you have captivated my heart with one glance of your eyes,
with one arjewel of your necklace.
10How beautiful is your love, my assister, my bride!
How much atbetter is your love than wine,
