4Your aneck is like an ivory tower.Your beyes are pools in cHeshbon,
by the gate of Bath-rabbim.
Your nose is like a tower of dLebanon,
which looks toward eDamascus.
Isaiah 15:4
4 fHeshbon and gElealeh cry out;their voice is heard as far as hJahaz;
therefore the armed men of Moab cry aloud;
his soul trembles.
Isaiah 16:8-9
8 For the fields of Heshbon languish,and ithe vine of Sibmah;
the lords of the nations
have struck down its branches,
which reached to Jazer
and strayed to the desert;
its shoots spread abroad
and passed over the sea.
9Therefore jI weep with kthe weeping of Jazer
for the vine of Sibmah;
I drench you with my tears,
O Heshbon and Elealeh;
for over lyour summer fruit and your harvest
the shout has ceased.
Jeremiah 48:2
2the renown of Moab is no more.In mHeshbon they planned disaster against her:
βCome, let us cut her off nfrom being a nation!β
You also, O oMadmen, shall be brought to silence;
the sword shall pursue you.
