Titus 2:11-12

11 For ^athe grace of God ^bhas appeared, bringing salvation ^cfor all people, 12 training us to renounce ungodliness and ^dworldly passions, and ^eto live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in ^fthe present age,

1 Peter 2:9-12

9 But you are ^ga chosen race, ^ha royal ⁱpriesthood, ^ja holy nation, ^ka people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you ^lout of darkness into ^mhis marvelous light. 10 ⁿOnce you were not a people, but now you are God’s people; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.

11 Beloved, I urge you ^oas sojourners and exiles ^pto abstain from the passions of the flesh, ^qwhich wage war against your soul. 12 ^rKeep your conduct among the Gentiles honorable, so that when they speak against you as evildoers, ^sthey may see your good deeds and glorify God on ^tthe day of visitation.

Stewards of God’s Grace

1 Since therefore ^uChrist suffered in the flesh, ^{▼▼Some manuscripts add for us; some for you} ^warm yourselves with the same way of thinking, for ^xwhoever has suffered in the flesh ^yhas ceased from sin, 2 ^zso as to live for ^aathe rest of the time in the flesh ^abno longer for human passions but ^acfor the will of God. 3 For the time that is past ^adsuffices ^aefor doing what the Gentiles want to do, living in sensuality, passions, drunkenness, orgies, drinking parties, and lawless idolatry. 4 With respect to this they are surprised when you do not join them in the same flood of ^afdebauchery, and ^agthey malign you;
