1 Peter 1:15-19

15 but ^kas he who called you is holy, you also be holy ^lin all your conduct, 16 since it is written, ^m“You shall be holy, for I am holy.” 17 And if you ⁿcall on him as Father who ^ojudges ^pimpartially according to each one’s deeds, conduct yourselves ^qwith fear throughout the time of your exile, 18 knowing that you ^rwere ransomed from ^sthe futile ways inherited from your forefathers, not with perishable things such as silver or gold, 19 but ^twith the precious blood of Christ, like that of ^ua lamb ^vwithout blemish or spot.

Stewards of God’s Grace

1 Since therefore ^wChrist suffered in the flesh, ^{▼▼Some manuscripts add for us; some for you} ^yarm yourselves with the same way of thinking, for ^zwhoever has suffered in the flesh ^aahas ceased from sin, 2 ^abso as to live for ^acthe rest of the time in the flesh ^adno longer for human passions but ^aefor the will of God. 3 For the time that is past ^afsuffices ^agfor doing what the Gentiles want to do, living in sensuality, passions, drunkenness, orgies, drinking parties, and lawless idolatry.
