12 Then ^athe angel of the Lord said, ^b‘O Lord of hosts, ^chow long will you ^dhave no mercy on Jerusalem and the cities of Judah, against which you have been angry these ^eseventy years?’ 13 And the Lord answered ^fgracious and comforting words to ^gthe angel who talked with me. 14 So ^hthe angel who talked with me said to me, ‘Cry out, Thus says the Lord of hosts: ⁱI am exceedingly jealous for Jerusalem and for Zion. 15 ^jAnd I am exceedingly angry with the nations that are ^kat ease; ^lfor while I was angry but a little, ^mthey furthered the disaster. 16 Therefore, thus says the Lord, ⁿI have returned to Jerusalem with mercy; ^omy house shall be built in it, declares the Lord of hosts, and ^pthe measuring line shall be stretched out over Jerusalem. 17 Cry out again, Thus says the Lord of hosts: ^qMy cities shall again overflow with prosperity, ^rand the Lord will again comfort Zion and again ^schoose Jerusalem.’”
