Zechariah 1:3-6

3Therefore say to them, Thus declares the Lord of hosts: aReturn to me, says the Lord of hosts, and bI will return to you, says the Lord of hosts. 4 cDo not be like your fathers, dto whom the former prophets cried out, ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts, eReturn from your evil ways and from your evil deeds.’ But fthey did not hear or pay attention to me, declares the Lord. 5Your fathers, where are they? And gthe prophets, do they live forever? 6 hBut my words and my statutes, which I commanded imy servants the prophets, did they not jovertake your fathers? So they repented and said, k‘As the Lord of hosts purposed to deal with us for lour ways and mdeeds, so has he dealt with us.’”

Zechariah 7:9-13

9Thus says the Lord of hosts, nRender true judgments, show kindness and mercy to one another, 10 odo not oppress the widow, the fatherless, the sojourner, por the poor, and qlet none of you devise evil against another in your heart.” 11But rthey refused to pay attention sand turned a stubborn shoulder and stopped their ears that they might not hear.

Mark 12:2-5

2When the season came, he sent a servant

3 adAnd they took him and beat him and sent him away empty-handed. 4 aeAgain afhe sent to them another servant, and agthey struck him on the head and ahtreated him shamefully. 5 aiAnd he sent another, and him they killed. And so with many others: some they beat, and some they killed.

Luke 20:10-19

This one also they wounded and cast out. 13Then the owner of the vineyard said, ‘What shall I do? I will send my aqbeloved son; perhaps they will respect him.’ 14But when the tenants saw him, they said to themselves, arThis is the heir. asLet us kill him, so that the inheritance may be ours.’ 15And they atthrew him out of the vineyard and killed him. What then will the owner of the vineyard do to them? 16 auHe will avcome and destroy those tenants and awgive the vineyard to others.” When they heard this, they said, “Surely not!” 17But he axlooked directly at them and said, What then is this that is written:

ay“‘The stone that the builders rejected
has become the cornerstone’?
Greek  the head of the corner

18 baEveryone who falls on that stone will be broken to pieces, and when it falls bbon anyone, it will crush him.”

19 bcThe scribes and the chief priests sought to lay hands on him at that very hour, for they perceived that he had told this parable against them, but they feared the people.
