Zechariah 11:5-7

5 aThose who buy them slaughter them and go unpunished, and those who sell them say, ‘Blessed be the Lord, bI have become rich,’ and their own shepherds have no pity on them. 6For cI will no longer have pity on the inhabitants of this land, declares the Lord. Behold, I will cause each of them to fall into the hand of his neighbor, and each into the hand of his king, and they shall crush the land, and I will deliver none from their hand.”

7 dSo I became the shepherd of the flock doomed to be slaughtered by the sheep traders. And I took two staffs, one I named eFavor, the other I named fUnion. gAnd I tended the sheep.

Zechariah 11:15-17

15Then the Lord said to me, “Take once more the equipment of ha foolish shepherd. 16For behold, I am raising up in the land a shepherd iwho does not care for those being destroyed, or seek the young or heal the maimed or nourish the healthy, but jdevours the flesh of the fat ones, tearing off even their hoofs.

17 kWoe to my worthless shepherd,
lwho deserts the flock!
May the sword strike his arm
and mhis right eye!
Let his arm be wholly withered,
his right eye utterly blinded!”

Matthew 9:36

36 nWhen he saw the crowds, ohe had compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless, plike sheep without a shepherd.

Matthew 15:14

14Let them alone; qthey are blind guides.
Some manuscripts add of the blind
And sif the blind lead the blind, both will fall into a pit.”

John 10:10

10The thief comes only to steal and tkill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.

John 10:12

12He who is ua hired hand and not a shepherd, who does not own the sheep, sees the wolf coming and vleaves the sheep and flees, and the wolf snatches them and wscatters them.
