Zechariah 12:10

Him Whom They Have Pierced

10“And aI will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and bpleas for mercy, so that, cwhen they look on me, on him whom they have pierced, dthey shall mourn for him, eas one mourns for an only child, and weep bitterly over him, as one weeps over a firstborn.

Zechariah 13:7

The Shepherd Struck

7 Awake, O sword, against fmy shepherd,
against the man who stands next to me,”

declares the Lord of hosts.
gStrike the shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered;
I will turn my hand against the little ones.

Mark 9:12

12And he said to them, Elijah does come first hto restore all things. And ihow is it written of the Son of Man that he should jsuffer many things and kbe treated with contempt?

Luke 24:25-26

25And he said to them, O foolish ones, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken! 26 lWas it not necessary that mthe Christ should suffer these things and enter into nhis glory?”

Luke 24:46

46and said to them, Thus oit is written, pthat the Christ should suffer and on the third day qrise from the dead,

John 19:24

24so they said to one another, “Let us not tear it, but cast lots for it to see whose it shall be.” rThis was to fulfill the Scripture which says,

s“They divided my garments among them,
and for my clothing they cast lots.”
So the soldiers did these things,

The Death of Jesus

28After this, Jesus, knowing that all was now tfinished, said ( uto fulfill the Scripture), v“I thirst.”

John 19:36-37

36 wFor these things took place that the Scripture might be fulfilled: x“Not one of his bones ywill be broken.” 37And again another Scripture says, z“They will look on him whom they have pierced.”
