Zechariah 3:3-4
3Now aJoshua was standing before the angel, bclothed with filthy garments. 4And the angel said to cthose who were standing before him, d“Remove the filthy garments from him.” And to him he said, “Behold, eI have taken your iniquity away from you, and fI will clothe you with pure vestments.”Zechariah 13:1

and test them as gold is tested.

and they will say, ‘The Lord is my God.’”
Malachi 3:2-3
2But mwho can endure the day of his coming, and who can stand when he appears? For nhe is like a refiner’s fire and like fullers’ soap. 3He will sit oas a refiner and purifier of silver, and he will purify the sons of Levi and refine them like gold and silver, and they will bring pofferings in righteousness to the Lord. ▼▼Or and they will belong to the Lord, bringers of an offering in righteousness
