Zechariah 7:9-13

9 “Thus says the Lord of hosts, ^aRender true judgments, show kindness and mercy to one another, 10 ^bdo not oppress the widow, the fatherless, the sojourner, ^cor the poor, and ^dlet none of you devise evil against another in your heart.” 11 But ^ethey refused to pay attention ^fand turned a stubborn shoulder and stopped their ears that they might not hear. ^{▼▼Hebrew and made their ears too heavy to hear} 12 ^hThey made their hearts diamond-hard ⁱlest they should hear the law and the words that the Lord of hosts had sent ^jby his Spirit through ^kthe former prophets. ^lTherefore great anger came from the Lord of hosts. 13 ^m“As I ^{▼▼Hebrew he} called, and they would not hear, ^oso they called, and I would not hear,” says the Lord of hosts,

Matthew 6:14

14 ^pFor if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you,

2 ^qFor with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and ^rwith the measure you use it will be measured to you.

Matthew 18:30-35

30 He refused and went and put him in prison until he should pay the debt. 31 When his fellow servants saw what had taken place, they were greatly distressed, and they went and reported to their master all that had taken place. 32 Then his master summoned him and said to him, ‘You wicked servant! I forgave you all that debt because you pleaded with me. 33 ^sAnd should not you have had mercy on your fellow servant, as I had mercy on you?’ 34 ^tAnd in anger his master delivered him to the jailers, ^{▼▼Greek torturers} ^vuntil he should pay all his debt. 35 ^wSo also my heavenly Father will do to every one of you, if you do not forgive your brother ^xfrom your heart.”

Matthew 25:41-46

41 “Then he will say to those on his left, ^y‘Depart from me, you ^zcursed, into ^aathe eternal fire prepared for ^abthe devil and his angels. 42 For ^acI was hungry and you gave me no food, I was thirsty and you gave me no drink, 43 I was a stranger and you did not welcome me, naked and you did not clothe me, sick and in prison and you did not visit me.’ 44 Then they also will answer, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to you?’ 45 Then he will answer them, saying, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did not do it to one of the least of these, ^adyou did not do it to me.’ 46 And these will go away ^aeinto eternal punishment, but the righteous ^afinto ^ageternal life.”

James 2:13-16

13 For ^ahjudgment is without mercy to one who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment.

Faith Without Works Is Dead

14 What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith ^aibut does not have works?
