Zechariah 9:11-12

11As for you also, because of athe blood of my covenant with you,
bI will set your prisoners free from cthe waterless pit.
12Return to your stronghold, O dprisoners of hope;
today I declare that eI will restore to you double.

Acts 12:7-10

7And behold, ian angel of the Lord jstood next to him, and a light shone in the cell. kHe struck Peter on the side and woke him, saying, “Get up quickly.” And lthe chains fell off his hands. 8And the angel said to him, “Dress yourself and mput on your sandals.” And he did so. And he said to him, “Wrap your cloak around you and follow me.” 9And he went out and followed him. He did not know that what was being done by the angel was real, but nthought he was seeing a vision. 10When they had passed the first and the second guard, they came to the iron gate leading into the city. oIt opened for them of its own accord, and they went out and went along one street, and immediately the angel left him.

Acts 16:26-40

26and suddenly pthere was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken. And immediately qall the doors were opened, and reveryone’s bonds were unfastened. 27When the jailer woke and saw that the prison doors were open, he drew his sword and swas about to kill himself, supposing that the prisoners had escaped. 28But Paul cried with a loud voice, “Do not harm yourself, for we are all here.” 29And the jailer

30Then he brought them out and said, “Sirs, vwhat must I do to be wsaved?” 31And they said, xBelieve in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you yand your household.” 32And they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to all who were in his house. 33And he took them zthe same hour of the night and washed their wounds; and he aawas baptized at once, he and all his family. 34Then he brought them up into his house and set food before them. And he abrejoiced along with his entire household that he had believed in God.

35But when it was day, the magistrates sent the police, saying, “Let those men go.” 36And the jailer reported these words to Paul, saying, “The magistrates have sent to let you go. Therefore come out now and go in peace.” 37But Paul said to them, “They have beaten us publicly, acuncondemned, men who are Roman citizens, and have thrown us into prison; and do they now throw us out secretly? No! Let them come themselves and take us out.” 38The police reported these words to the magistrates, and adthey were afraid when they heard that they were Roman citizens. 39So they came and apologized to them. And they took them out and aeasked them to leave the city. 40So they went out of the prison and visited afLydia. And when they had seen agthe brothers, they encouraged them and departed.
