1 Corinthians 11:32

32But when we are judged by the Lord, cwe are disciplined

2 Corinthians 6:9

9as unknown, and fyet well known; gas dying, and behold, we live; has punished, and yet not killed;

Hebrews 12:5-11

5And have you forgotten the exhortation that addresses you as sons?

iMy son, jdo not regard lightly the discipline of the Lord,
nor be weary when reproved by him.
6For kthe Lord disciplines the one he loves,
and chastises every son whom he receives.”
7It is for discipline that you have to endure. lGod is treating you as sons. For what son is there whom his father does not discipline? 8If you are left without discipline, min which all have participated, then you are illegitimate children and not sons. 9Besides this, we have had earthly fathers who disciplined us and we respected them. Shall we not much more be subject to nthe Father of spirits oand live? 10For they disciplined us for a short time as it seemed best to them, but he disciplines us for our good, pthat we may share his holiness. 11 qFor the moment all discipline seems painful rather than pleasant, but later it yields rthe peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.

James 1:12

12 sBlessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive tthe crown of life, uwhich God has promised to those who love him.
