וְהִנְנוּ מְבַקְשִׁים מִכֶּם אֶחָי עַל־אֹדוֹת בִּיאַת אֲדֹנֵינוּ יֵשׁוּעַ הַמָּשִׁיחַ וַאֲסִיפָתֵנוּ אֵלָיו׃
Now we
ask you,
abrothers and sisters, regarding the

Lord Jesus Christ and our
dgathering together to Him,

אֲשֶׁר לֹא־תִטָּרֵף דַּעְתְּכֶם פִּתְאֹם וַאֲשֶׁר לֹא תִבָּהֵלוּ לֹא בְרוּחַ וְלֹא בְדִבּוּר וְלֹא בְאִגֶּרֶת כְּמוֹ־שְׁלוּחָה מֵאִתָּנוּ כְּאִלּוּ הִגִּיעַ יוֹם הַמָּשִׁיחַ׃
that you not be
quickly shaken from your
▼composure or be
disturbed either by a
fspirit,
or a
▼ hmessage,
or a
iletter as
if from us,
to the effect that
jthe
day of the
Lord khas
come.

אַל־יַתְעֶה אֶתְכֶם אִישׁ בְּשׁוּם אוֹפָן כִּי לֹא־יָבֹא בְּטֶרֶם יִהְיֶה בָרִאשׁוֹנָה הַמֶּרֶד וְנִגְלָה אִישׁ הַחַטָּאָה בֶּן־הָאֲבַדּוֹן׃
lNo one is to
deceive you in
any way! For
it will not come unless the

הַמִּתְקוֹמֵם וְהַמִּתְרוֹמֵם עַל־כָּל־הַנִּקְרָא אֵל אוֹ עֲבוֹדַת קֹדֶשׁ עַד־כִּי גַם־יֵשֵׁב בְּהֵיכַל הָאֱלֹהִים כֵּאלֹהִים וּמַרְאֶה אֶת־עַצְמוֹ כִּי אֱלֹהִים הוּא׃
who
opposes and
exalts himself

everyone who is called God revery so-called god or object of worship,
so that he
takes his
seat in the
temple of
God,
sdisplaying himself as
being God.

remember that

these things?

restrains him now,

wickedness for
ajthose who
perish,
because they did not
accept the
love of

truth so as to be
saved.
