וְזֶה רֹאשׁ הַנֶּאֱמָרִים כִּי יֶשׁ־לָנוּ כֹּהֵן גָּדוֹל הַיּוֹשֵׁב לִימִין כִּסֵּא הַגְּבוּרָה בַּשָּׁמָיִם׃
Now the
main point in what has been
said is this: we
have such a ahigh priest,
who has
taken His
seat at
bthe
right hand of the
throne of the
cMajesty in the
heavens,

וְהוּא מְשָׁרֵת הַקֹּדֶשׁ וְהַמִּשְׁכָּן הָאֲמִתִּי אֲשֶׁר־כּוֹנֲנוֹ אֲדֹנָי וְלֹא אָדָם׃

dminister ▼in the
sanctuary and
▼in the
gtrue ▼tabernacle,
which the
Lord iset up, not
man.

כִּי כָל־כֹּהֵן גָּדוֹל הוּא מֻפְקָד לְהַקְרִיב מְנָחוֹת וּזְבָחִים וְעַל־כֵּן צָרִיךְ שֶׁיִּהְיֶה גַם־לָזֶה דָּבָר לְהַקְרִיב׃
For
every jhigh priest is
appointed kto
offer both gifts and
sacrifices;
so it is
necessary that
this high priest also have something to
offer.

Now if He were on
earth, He would not be a
priest at all, since there are

moffer the
gifts according to the

oshadow of the
heavenly things,
just as Moses ▼was
qwarned by God when he
was about to erect the
▼tabernacle; for, “
sSee,” He
says, “
that you make all things by the pattern which was shown to you on the mountain.”

וְעַתָּה הוּא קִבֵּל שֵׁרוּת מְעֻלֶּה כְּפִי מַעֲלַת הַבְּרִית שֶׁנֶּעֶשְׂתָה עַל־יָדוֹ אֲשֶׁר הוּקְמָה עַל־הַבְטָחוֹת טֹבוֹת וִיתֵרוֹת׃
But
now He has
obtained a
more excellent ministry, to the
extent that He is
also the
tmediator of
ua
better covenant,
which has been
enacted on
better promises.
