Jesus answered him,
“It is written: ‘ eMan shall not live on bread alone.’”

Jesus replied to him,

“It has been stated, ‘ pYou shall not put the Lord your God to the test.’”

But I say to you in truth, there were many widows in Israel ajin the days of Elijah, when the sky was shut up for three years and six months, when a ▼severe famine came over all the land;
