וְאַחֲרֵי מוֹצָאֵי הַשַּׁבָּת כְּשֶׁהֵאִיר לְאֶחָד בַּשַּׁבָּת בָּאָה מִרְיָם הַמַּגְדָּלִית וּמִרְיָם הָאַחֶרֶת לִרְאוֹת אֶת־הַקָּבֶר׃
aNow after the
Sabbath, as it began to
dawn toward the
first day of the
week,
bMary Magdalene and the
other Mary came to
look at the
tomb.

severe earthquake had

And the
angel said to the
women, “
▼ gDo not
be afraid; for I
know that you are
looking for Jesus who has been
crucified.

report to His
disciples.

chief priests all that had

consulted together, they
gave a
large sum of
money to the
soldiers,

said, “You are to

disciples came at
night and
stole Him while we
were asleep.’

וְאִם־יִשָּׁמַע הַדָּבָר לִפְנֵי הַנְּצִיב אֲנַחְנוּ נְפַיְסֵהוּ וִהְיִיתֶם בְּלִי־פָחַד׃

appease him and

took the
money and
did as they had been
instructed; and
this story was
widely sspread among the
