וָאֵרֶא בִּימִין הַיּשֵׁב עַל־הַכִּסֵּא סֵפֶר כָּתוּב פָּנִים וְאָחוֹר וְחָתוּם בְּשִׁבְעָה חֹתָמוֹת׃
I
saw ▼in the
right hand of Him who
bsat on the
throne a

book, and so throughout the ch
dscroll written inside and on the
back,
esealed up with
seven seals.

וָאֵרֶא מַלְאָךְ אַבִּיר קוֹרֵא בְקוֹל־גָּדוֹל מִי הוּא הַזֹּכֶה לִפְתֹּחַ הַסֵּפֶר וּלְהַתִּיר אֶת־חוֹתָמָיו׃
And I
saw a
fstrong angel proclaiming with a
loud voice, “
Who is
worthy to
open the
scroll and to
break its
seals?”

And
no one gin
heaven or on the
earth or under the
earth was
able to
open the
scroll or to
look into it.

וָאֵבְךְּ בְּכִי גָדוֹל עַל־אֲשֶׁר לֹא־נִמְצָא אִישׁ זֹכֶה לִפְתֹּחַ אֶת־הַסֵּפֶר וְלִקְרֹא בוֹ אוֹ־לְהַבִּיט אֵלָיו׃
Then I
began to
weep greatly because no one was
found worthy to
open the
scroll or to
look into it.

Stop weeping;

tribe of
Judah, the
jRoot of
David, has
overcome so as to be able to
open the
scroll and its
seven seals.”

וָאֵרֶא וְהִנֵּה בֵּין הַכִּסֵּא וְאַרְבַּע הַחַיּוֹת וּבֵין הַזְּקֵנִים שֶׂה עֹמֵד כְּמוֹ טָבוּחַ וְלוֹ שֶׁבַע קַרְנַיִם וְשִׁבְעָה עֵינַיִם אֲשֶׁר הֵם שִׁבְעָה רוּחוֹת הָאֱלֹהִים הַשְּׁלוּחִים אֶל־כָּל־הָאָרֶץ׃

When He had
taken the
scroll, the
ufour living creatures and the

each one holding a

adWorthy are You to

scroll and to
break its
seals; for You were
aeslaughtered, and You
afpurchased people for
God with Your
blood from
agevery tribe,
language,
people, and
nation.

earth.”

blessing, the
honor, the
glory, and the
dominion forever and
ever.”

awfour living creatures were
saying, “
