Judges 11:2-3
2 Gilead’s wife bore him sons, and when they grew up, they drove Jephthah out and said to him, “You will have no inheritance in our father’s house, because you are the son of another woman.” 3So Jephthah fled from his brothers and lived in the land of Tob. a Then some lawless men joined Jephthah and traveled with him. 34 Don’t assume that I came to bring peace on the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. b 35 For I came to turna man against his father,a daughter against her mother,
a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law;
36and a man’s enemies will be
the members of his household. c , d
37 The person who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me; e the person who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me. 38 And whoever doesn’t take up his cross and follow ▼
