Colossians 1:15-23

The Preeminence of Christ

15 aHe is the image of bthe invisible God, cthe firstborn of all creation. 16For by
That is,  by means of; or in
him all things were created, ein heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether fthrones or gdominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created hthrough him and for him.
17And ihe is before all things, and in him all things jhold together. 18And khe is the head of the body, the church. He is lthe beginning, mthe firstborn from the dead, that in everything he might be preeminent. 19For nin him all the ofullness of God was pleased to dwell, 20and pthrough him to reconcile to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, qmaking peace rby the blood of his cross.

21 sAnd you, who once were alienated and hostile in mind, tdoing evil deeds, 22he has now reconciled uin his body of flesh by his death, vin order to present you holy and blameless and wabove reproach before him, 23 xif indeed you continue in the faith, ystable and steadfast, not shifting from zthe hope of the gospel that you heard, which has been proclaimed aain all creation
Or to every creature
under heaven, acand of which I, Paul, became a minister.
