1 Chronicles 11:22

22Benaiah, the son of Jehoiada, from Kabzeel, was a very mature man, who had accomplished many deeds. He struck down the two lions of God from Moab. And he descended and killed a lion in the middle of a pit, in the time of snow.
11:22These two lions were of God in two senses, they were of the one true God, first and foremost, in the sense that God used these lions, being killed by an Israelite, to rebuke the false religion of the Moabites. And they were apparently lions that had some type of religious meaning or role in the pagan Moabite religion, so that they were of the pagan gods.(Conte)
