detained before the
Lord. His
name was
Doeg the
Edomite, the
chief of
Saul’s herdsmen.
καὶ ἐκεῖ ἦν ἓν τῶν παιδαρίων τοῦ Σαουλ. ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ἐκείνῃ συνεχόμενος νεεσσαραν ἐνώπιον κυρίου, καὶ ὄνομα αὐτῷ Δωηκ ὁ Σύρος νέμων τὰς ἡμιόνους Σαουλ
