Earthquake--the sun became black--moon became as blood--stars of heaven fell--the heaven departed--every mountain and island were moved ; here as often elsewhere, symbols of great commotions, dissolutions of civil governments, fall of illustrious men, and multitudes overwhelmed in ruin.
