The time is short. So then those who have wives should be as those who have none,

And they that weep, as though they wept not; and they that rejoice, as though they rejoiced not; and they that buy, as though they possessed not;

and those who weep, as though they did not weep; and those who rejoice, as though they did not rejoice; and those who buy, as though they did not possess;

those with tears like those not weeping, those who rejoice like those not rejoicing, those who buy like those without possessions,

And they that use this world, as not abusing it: for the fashion of this world passeth away.

and those who use the world, as though they did not ^cmake full use of it; for ^dthe present form of this world is passing away.

those who use the world as though they were not using it to the full. For the present shape of this world is passing away.
