This throne of destruction and the decree which devises mischief are directed “against the life of the righteous” ( ). The antichrist and his followers conspire against him. Their legislation really does establish mischief, for they “condemn the innocent to death”. They are out for the blood of the innocent righteous and for this they modify the legislation and pervert the law.
