Washing away all impurity by confession, to which we come when we read in God’s Word how He thinks about things, precedes sanctification, consecration. We see this in 1 Corinthians 6: “Such were some of you; but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God” ( ).

The Washing
